I Give Up [MMD Blender] [HELP]

Description

I thought I'd be able to quickly try my hand at Blender (2.76b) MMD rendering via Cycles since I could get a model and a motion to load properly, but a number of problems arose:

1. If I loaded a full motion and then attempted to modify the morphs (shape keys) at any frame, switching to Image Render reset the morphs. (Semi-solved by rendering a one-frame vmd in MMD, but there's gotta be a way to do this in Blender proper...)
2. I can't figure out lighting--an issue complicated by the seeming fact that any lighting settings I add don't actually seem to take effect. I understand how to add cameras and lamps and such, but they just don't work... And changing materials settings (aka Shader) under the Materials tab seems to cause textures to disappear and the "correct" color of the mesh to show. When I tried to edit May's face shader, her whole face mesh turned white instead.
3. Why is the image grainy??? Also, it's not rendering at the settings Blender says it would. This pic was supposed to be 1920x1080. Maybe this is because my Bake button was somehow disabled?

Can anyone help me out? Emy-san Alice-Hato Anyone else who can help?

To edit the morphs (I assume you are referring to the shape keys used to edit the facial expressions):

1) move the slider to the position you want.
2) Hold the mouse over the slider and press I. This stores the new data as part of the animation, without this it will revert to what the motion calls for.

Similar thing goes for moving bones, in the 3d view press I and select Loc Rot and Scale, which stores the new location rotating and scale of the selected bone.

As for the lighting:

1) Press Shift+A in object mode to add a lamp.

(Check top of screen for engine type:
In Blender Render I would use 4 sun lamps as they are brightest, otherwise you will have to select the lamp and bump up it's energy value a lot.
In Cycles Render Add a large plane, give it a emission material and turn up the emission value)

2) Position the lamps/planes by selecting them and pressing G for grab.

And for the grainy render,

1)Improve the lighting, it will help some.
2) Bump up the sampling over 150'
3)
Use Clamp This method is used mostly to remove the characteristic "fireflies" in cycles that appear when there is any quantity of glossy objects, or if there is poor lighting. Clamp indirect is especially effective. Under Sampling set Clamp indirect to 1, direct to 4
4)
Multiple Importance Sampling under World >Settings should be set to 1024
5)Filter Glossy/Bounces You can use these settings to advantage as well, try filter glossy at 1 for starts. See this page for more details and an in depth explanation.
6)Despeckle/Bilateral Blur Nodes This method uses the compositor and reduces noise fairly effectually, sadly at the loss of quality.

Hope this helps. Best of luck in your blendevors!
